Home Field Advantage
What are everyone's thoughts on home field advantage in the game?
I'm very glad the momentum meter is gone from the PS2 version. Instead, I'm really enjoying the boost that playing at home brings and the challenge it presents when playing on the road.
I'm finding that it's a lot more difficult to get the upset or or solid win on the road. Also, I find it's easier to get the big win at home, especially the upsets.
This is how it is in the real world and I find that EA has encompassed this quite well.
It's very subtle how they capture this aspect in the game, but for me it seems to come down to game changing plays. I notice that when playing on the road I can't take as many risks on chances down field. The CPU really pounces on aggressive plays by racking up INTs or fumbles when playing on the road. I am way more careful and cautious, and I play for points (field goals) on the road.
How has this played out for most of you?
