Do tuner updates get downloaded the same as patches?

it'll be download once you enter the game. if you look closely now, you can see it 'checking for gameplay tuning' when you first enter the game(after pressing start).

I knew the patch was a couple, three weeks out, but its somewhat surprising, pleasantly so, that the recruiting and progression issues seem to be something that can be addressed in the tuning fine instead of having to be taken care of in the patch.

Therefore if they don't adequately address those issues in this first tuning file(hopefully they will) then we can request another one, and get it in relatively short order.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I agree. I once had 4 straight rain games in my CU Dynasty. I thought NHL's tuner sets made a big difference so I cannot wait for this one.

Excellent news, esp. re: the recruiting/dynasty progression fixes. They didn't elaborate, but I suspect that they just didn't want to publicize the extent of the bug before patching it out.

I would have loved to see some kind of change to the way that defenses play man-to-man coverage -- specifically, the way that DB's with decent AWR will run routes before the WR does by reading the receiver's mind. In real life, the WR would simply cut in the opposite direction and be wide open...

This would probably require a more wholesale change to the entire NCAA 11 passing game, so I'm expecting we'll see nothing new on this until NCAA 12, if then. In the meantime, I can live with just lowering the pass coverage slider.

I remember Russ mentioning that some aspects of recruiting could be tuned, but I didn't know if he might by the tuner set, or by patch, or simply tuned for the next game(NCAA 12). good to hear it can be done with the tuner sets though.

Thanks for the picture Solid. Initially I couldn't figure out how to copy the uniform pic so I just used the one from your post and added it to the OP.
