2* OLB turned future starting QB??

I'm playing as UAB and I just finished my first year. I recruited a 2* OLB who was rate in the low 60's but with speed in the upper 80 and 97 ACC. Upon checking other attributes, I notice that he has 86 THP and 77 THA. Naturally, I switch him to QB and low and behold, he is my third best QB!!!

So my question. I'm going to redshirt him this season. Will he begin to progress like a QB (progress THP, THA, etc.) or will he progress as a LB (TAK, COV, etc.)?

He should progress like a QB unless they screwed that up. That's how it's been in previous games. What a random find though for you.

Tell me about it. He could change my team. UAB has no talent after this year and it feels like most of my team is seniors in year 2. A guy like this could be huge if he developes.

What's his AWR though? 40-50?

I was using the pocket scout and found a 2 star TE who had 93 throw power and 82 accuracy. There are also a ton of FS who have really good QB attributes as well. Even if you switch them and their awareness is low it wont matter if your controlling them.

i had a punter named Juan Hernandez that ended up winning 3 heismans for me at QB and turned around a ND program that one 3 games the year before i arrived and was down to a 3 star prestige school

he progressed fine he started at 84 and believe it or not graduated as a 97 i never red shirted him although i probably should have considering he didnt even start his first year

If he's switched to the QB position (not just put as a QB in the depth chart but still labeled as a LB) he should progress as a QB.

I've noticed players have some pretty high ratings for random skills. Mainly non-QB position players having high THP and THA ratings as well as non-K/P positions having high KPW and KAC ratings.

I just recruited a freshman QB (70 overall) but he's a 75 cornerback, actually can play as my nickel corner... he's buried in the depth chart so I don't see why he can't play both sides of the ball
