If I do not redshirt him but because he doesn't play the computer automatically gives him a redshirt does that hurt the promise?

Yes, that counts as a broken promise. If you promise no redshirt, make sure the player gets a stat. 1 tackle, 1 rush, whatever. He just needs something.

Yep just as vol said. You MUST make sure you get him in and he complies one stat (just playing doesnt count if they don't make a tackle or get a carry etc) or the CPU WILL redshirt them.

Way to screw this one up EA. You play one damn down and you dont redshirt. How hard is that to program?

they cant they are full of it... I have had plenty of players get no stats and i didnt redshirt them... next year they were sophomores.

Freshman can get redshirted if they are not on your depth chart in any form. If u promise a rb a no redshirt year, put him on the depth chart. Doesnt even need a lot of playing time, just enough to record any stat: a tackle, run, reception, etc.

No, they're not "full of it". The CPU can and WILL redshirt your players when you advance to the season.
