Custom Conferences

Somewhere on the site a few weeks ago, I saw a poster who had created some pretty sweet custom conferences. He even recreated the old Southwest Conference, gave Notre Dame a home, etc. Everything made perfect sense regionally and historically. I think he offered a link to his dynasty page to show the changes. Please consider this a shout-out to that poster. I had used the changes before and I can't find them now. Help, anyone....

There've been a lot of custom conferences threads, especially a lot that recreate the old SWC / put Notre Dame in a home / what have you. I'll give a shout out to my custom conferences. These ones are pretty slick too.

Glad I could help. I ended up doing all of Pogo's changes, and I also added Tulsa to the Big 8/9, sliding that into the Pac-10, putting the Texas conference in the MWC, with North Texas in the Sun Belt. It's your game, you can decide if what you want to go with.

Also, take some time setting up your slots in dynasty setup, they can really pay off in the long run. Putting Oklahoma -- Nebraska in the Oregon -- Oregon st slots makes an end of the year rivalry that's usually for all the marbles. Putting Stanford -- Cal in the Texas -- A&M slot has them play on Thanksgiving. Put South Carolina in the Florida St slot and you have the Steve Spurrier Bowl as an out-of-conference matchup. Taking the time to plan these things out can make it feel like your season is going somewhere and ending with huge rivalries; throw them together quickly, and it can turn into a real mess.
