Is this rumor about 2k true?

My friend said he heard from a friend who was watching G4 tv that Take 2 and 2K are going to be getting the license to make a college football game? I know they are going to be in the bidding for the NFL license, and I also heard about 2k making a Canadian football game??? Anyway, I think he is pulling my leg... and if anyone knows, it would be you guys... so is it true?

Idk anything about this but I wouldn't mind at all. I've always wanted alittle college hoops esque NCAA football anyways.

Even though I would love some competition for the NCAA Franchise I doubt this is true. EA has had a lock down on the NCAA Football market for a while now and it would be very hard to intrude upon it. It would take a herculean effort to make a dent in the EA franchise. I am not opposed to 2k making this move though if they are fully invested in it. Healthy competition should be welcomed.

When was the last time you herd something from a friend that herd from another friend to be true? Not saying it is not true nor do I care. I use to think a sports game could not be any good without competition but I have since changed that view. The focus and goals of the game maker is what makes the game better. Yes while competition makes people work harder it does not always make you better. You have to have the right mindset and desire to be better before you are better. I think EA has seen that with what happened with NBA Elite and now is seeing that making games with the fans in mind is the way to go. I have always bought EA's version of the game even when I had a choice and will still buy their game. I guess I'm loyal.

Did you play the last college football 2k game? it was atrocious. CF2k3 check it out if you havent... its pretty bad.

Yeah it was pretty bad, but I still hope this is true. It would just be nice to have a choice. And compitition is good.

NCAA 11 gameplay + dynasty as deep as CH2k8 would be heaven.

And have you played the last 2k Football game All-Pro Football 2k8?... its about the best football game Ive ever played and I have played them all. The issue with that game is that it is not immediately going to give you positive reinforcement. As far as a chess match goes, it does not get better than that game. Not having a nfl license screwed them over.
