It might also have been done this way to go against the last couple games where if I needed a kicker or punter and couldn't sign a top 3 guy I was better off taking a walk on. Of course they go too far and now make every walk on way too bad. In just about every bowl game this year I heard at least once at various positions "he came here as a walk On but earned his scholarship and is now a starter"

Exactly. Almost every team has some beast linebacker, kicker, or wide receiver who started as a walk on and is now a very good (sometimes team leading) tackler or solid kicker. In this game, I've never seen a good walk on. Ever. Best I've seen was like a 52 overall, and he was a JR when he walked on. Last year, they had it a little overdone. Friend got an 89 overall walkon freshman kicker. Possible? Yes. But likely? Heck no. That had to be a 1 in a million guy. Was a 99 overall by his junior year.

Heck, I got a 40 overall junior fullback to walk on to me. At UNC, as a 5 star program. I know I run the pistol, so it's not like I need a fullback. But come on. 40 OVERALL JUNIOR? If overall didn't bottom out a 40, he'd probably have been around a 28 with his ratings. Dude is an embarrassment to a football player. I'd make a better fullback than him, and I'm 5'7 165 lbs.

At kicker as long as its random at not all the time that 89 walk-on isnt that terrible. Like I said Alex Henery was a walk-on skinny *** soccer player. By junior/senior year was definitely a 99 overall guy.

But like you showed, EA goes too far and voila, a 40 overall FB as a junior.
