How to use the wildcat?

I have always wondered this. I never seem to actually use it right. I know it involves some reading but I'm not if I'm reading the man or the DE. If anyone could that would be great

End stays home you hand off, if he chases the man in motion keep it.

Yeah but it's not going to work all the time when you keep it because a lot of the time a safety or linebacker will be able to pick it up. But when they don't you basically have open field to the house, I usually can bust about 2 80 yard plays with it a year and I try and run it atleast once a game.

I dont really remember what playbook it was in, but there was a play where my QB/HB handed off to the WR who threw it back to the HB on a screen. A GREAT play that I've used against other users

Re: How to use the wildcat?

The only Wildcat play I've ever had success with is just handing it off to my WR, and it's only good for 5-10 yards at most. Every other time, it's just a sack.

Yea I don't like the wildcat. It seems to be complete opposite from RL. In the game it's a big play or a big loss, as opposed to real life where it seems to chunk away 3-8 yards at a time. At least for me anyways.

Is that "Sweep QB Screen" ? I use it from Oregon's playbook I think. I absolutely love that play. It either gets blown apart for -4 or he'll be wide open and there will be NOBODY in front of him. Lamichael James+that play=money.
