Please, WHAT IS SOLID PLAYING TIME?

The benefits of promises in recruiting are unquestionably priceless. You keep

it, you get more, you break it, you lose the ones you have. Now, most

promises are pretty straight forward. Game in the players home state. No

Redshirt. Top 10 first 2 years on campus. It's pretty easy to distinguish

whether or not you kept your promises. And then theres Solid playing time.

Right now I have about 3 blue-chip recruits that I promised this to. Before I

go into my next season I MUST know what the game defines this at so they

don't transfer and I can keep unlocking promises and gaining prestige. Is this

classified as a starter? Maybe a

backup? How about comes in on goal line situations I HAVE NO IDEA. So,does

anybody have the truth to this and definition?

From what little we know, I think it has to do more with their position on the depth chart more than anything. Exactly what number on the depth chart per position counts as solid playing time, I don't know.

I'm looking at 2nd string.

Re: Please, WHAT IS SOLID PLAYING TIME?

I have no idea. Some people here say just put the guy in as a starter but sub in the REAL player you want with formation subs. I tried that. It said I broke the promise (even though the guy did have some stats. Not much but some). I also had a guy who was listed as 2nd string but played a ton and it also said I broke the promise. So I don't know. I never use that one anymore.

By the way you list "top 10 first 2 years on campus" as one that's obvious. Not really. I don't know if that means make it to the top 10 within the first two years, or be in the top 10 for both of those years.

Re: Please, WHAT IS SOLID PLAYING TIME?

I'm playing an Online dynasty with VT and a couple of seasons ago I promised it to a RB. He was the better RB but I kept him number 2 on the depth chart b/c he fumbled alot. Got him in with the in game package sub or when #1 got fatigued. He got maybe a third of the touches; scored maybe 6 TD's. I didn't break the promise.

Your best bet is to start him. You know those cupcake games that you have scheduled every year? Give your star players a rest and sub in those guys that you promised solid playing time.

Re: Please, WHAT IS SOLID PLAYING TIME?

Solid Playing Time = Starter

And if he is at a position that starts two people, he needs to be at least #2 on the depth chart AT THE POSITION HE IS LISTED AT.
