Looking at the Final BCS Rankings from the 1998 season, here are a couple of head-scratchers:
#3 Kansas State
#5 UCLA
#7 Arizona
#10 Tulane
#12 Virginia
#14 Georgia Tech
#15 Syracuse
Pre-Season Rankings included:
#12 North Carolina
#15 Colorado State
#21 Southern Miss
Not exactly mid-major studs, but it speaks to the point that ALOT can happen to a program over the course of 12 seasons. Tulane?! Really?!...
