I'm sorry but I can't comment on Punt Block because I always set-up a return.
I blocked a kick just the other day with my SWAC All Time Team .....I did it with a 6'9 DE (Ed Too Jones)

I have the FG Accuarcy slider at like 25 and the kicker in that game had around 72 Accuary i just jumped up and was able to tip the ball

I also noticed this same guy gets about 1-2 pass deflections per game at the line scrimmage. So it my height have something to do with player height and jumping skills aswell

I've all kinds of crazy stuff by messing with the kicking sliders in this game

That's the problem with it. The only way to block it is to learn a computer tendency and exploit it. You try it in a PvP game, and you aren't blocking it unless the player is incredibly impatient and kicks it as soon as he can every single time.

to the people who block kicks 40-60% of the time. how often does the cpu block your kicks?

i can't get blocks for either side, but if i could get the cpu to block kicks that would be wondrous. missed snaps would also be nice to on special teams

The CPU doesn't block kicks, since those who block it 50% of the time are admittedly using an exploit to block them.

Re: The Reason why there are no blocked puts and FGs....

Maybe if EA would add at least a couple more kicker ratings it could happen. As is all kickers and punters seem identical except for leg power. And that only seems to apply to kickers not punters. Every damn punter in ODs average the same.

If there were ratings for kick speed (as in how long a guy takes to punt or kick) maybe kick height being affected more by power (only high power 90+ guys could have that serious hang time on punts and great great height on long field goals)

Re: The Reason why there are no blocked puts and FGs....

The reason there are few blocked kicks is simple, and it has to do with the snapper, but not the OP's point. The real reason is that the snaps are too fast, and there is never a bad snap or hold. The ball needs to take a little longer to get back to the holder/punter, and there needs to be low snaps, high snaps, and snaps that are off left and right (and, field goal/PAT angles are jacked up, and the ball does travel a little too quickly once kicked as well). A long-snap rating would be great (note to EA, virtually no offensive linemen are long snappers. It is as much a specialized skill as kicking and punting, and snapping is the primary role of virtually every snapper. A few moonlight as backup tight ends or linebackers. Of course, if there were 85 man rosters it would make it easier to add a third specialist...), and the hands rating needs to be taken into account for holders. As far as I'm concerned, awareness could be used to dictate how well a kicker/punter reacts to and handles poor snaps, getting the ball away quicker and avoiding blocks.
