Make RB by committee easier?

My dream is to merge the systems from Madden & NCAA. I would love to be able to use formation subs that stuck around for my entire season especially in OD as well as the ability to hit R1 and select whoever I want to play each position on the fly.

One of my major problems trying to use a 2 back system via formation subs is that the packages won't work correctly in game. If i have my 2nd RB set to come in for Formation X but want to use the other one (say the 2nd guy is tired or struggling or whatever) and try to use the spell RB package it'll put the 2nd RB via the depth chart in even though he's the guy I'm trying to spell.

Am I the only one who had difficulty with the formation sub stick (on PS3)? If they can fix the lack of responsiveness there, then I would have no issue getting my #2 back carries.

I agree with the bold part more than anything. Other positions are very tough to get a rotation going.
