I had bought that 20th anniv. Madden set when it had come out, the one that came with the playable Madden '93...I was excited to play '93, since it was one of the first sports games I started playing.

I think I logged about 2 1/2 minutes on that thing.

Play NCAA 10(worst imo) then NCAA 11 and look at NCAA 12 they don't look or feel the same

I've never really liked the gameplay on NCAA. The overpredictive defense always got to me. NCAA 11 made huge strides in passing. I remember in earlier years where passing was a pain in the ***. Defenders would be right on your receivers and if you got open, you were either done right there, or with the right moves you were gone. It is far from perfect, but NCAA 11 I think is one of the better gameplaying experiences I had so I'm hoping 12 continues to improve. You can't be perfect. I like to design sims, mainly for driving and racing and I do math modeling. Simply put: you can't perfectly sim real life because real life isn't simple.

This is one of those "be careful what you wish for" kind of areas. The truth of the matter is a very small percentage of people in the world have the physical and mental abilities and reflexes to play the game well at even the college level let alone the pro level. If the virtual game started to approach reality too much, it would more than likely become overly frustrating for the vast majority of players who wouldn't be able to make the reads fast enough.

There's going to always need to be a balance between realistic gameplay and a fun gameplay experience.

Re: We can we expect true to life football gaming(no bashing)

Personal opinion of course, but I feel a completely realistic experience would infact be a fun experience. I should have stated earlier, I have not bought an NCAA Game since maybe 09 and returned that but would simply play the demos. What I should say is this game does not look any different(gameplay wise) from year to year.

THE Same tackling animations
RUNNING ANIMATIONS
WARPING
SLIDING
The way everyone moves
Still don't have 3-man animation tackles(shame really)

It to me looks the same year in and year out.

I simply await the day when the game looks like what we saw on the madden trailer pre next generation gaming release(VICK OWENS STRAHAM
