Madden 07, on the last gen, I remember had a "Coaching Carousel" if you will. Coaches got hired and fired each year based on Win/Loss and there were also contracts. There were also coordinators including special teams. You could only be the head coach but there was a "coach mode" where you could just call plays and watch them play out. I hired Marshall Faulk once as my OC which was pretty cool to see. They did a pretty good job IMO with Coaching Carousel back in the day.

Didn't one of them have a playoff option as well? I remember being able to choose whether to have bowls or a playoff postseason.

You are correct I'm not sure what year but I think it was 99. I know it was the year that Michigan was on the cover.

Correct, that was pretty cool.

Also, I remember in NCAA '06 seeing coaches move around some, and coaches getting replaced by D2 coaches. In one dynasty I had "Appalacian State" coach took over the Michigan job after a couple of loosing seasons.
