I'd have to assume that '11 sales were way down because '10 was terrible.

its still disconcerning because this means we have now seen and know everything in the game. That means no news on Teambuilder, nothing else on gameplay, same special teams. Even when its not a big year for NCAA they still make a presense at E3 and this year theyre being forgotten.

http://www.vgchartz.com/worldtotals....=50&sort=Total

NCAA Football 03- 1.53 million
NCAA Football 04- 1.70 million
NCAA Football 05- 1.87 million
NCAA Football 06- 2.08 million
NCAA Football 07- 2.83 million
NCAA Football 08- 1.78 million
NCAA Football 09- 2.01 million
NCAA Football 10- 2.18 million
NCAA Football 11- 1.68 million

NCAA Football 11 sales were poor compared to its previous history, but 1.68 million is still a huge number for a annual franchise, and any publisher would love to have a franchise like that. Though it certainly has to be very dissapointing, and worrying for EA to drop from 2.83 million for NCAA 07 to 1.68 million for NCAA 11

Having said all that the NCAA Football franchise is NOT niche likie some here claim it to be, and it is not going anywhere because it is way too popular. Any publisher would love to have a franchise that sold this much annually. Certainly Madden, and FIFA are bigger, but NCAA Football is still a BIG seller compared to most games. Though like I said EA has to be very worried about the significant dropoff in sales.
that is slightly wrong. He said this gen, not overall. meaning 360/PS3 only.

going off that same site
'07(360 only) - .70M
'08 - 1.04M
'09 - 1.24M
10 - 1.69M
11 - 1.49M

so 11 was down compared to 10 according to that site, but wasn't the worst this gen in sales.

also, the PS2 version sales has been declining and NCAA 10 had a PSP version and '09 and PSP and a Wii version, so the overall totals wouldn't be correct.

i dunno, the game is a month away and theyre basically hiding it in the corner from what it sounds like. That just seems strange to me no matter how much room they wanna give Madden. I really feel we're getting the same game gameplay wise with the littliest of tweeks.

Why is everyone overreacting and assuming there is some conspiracy at play here?

Great site. Just a little more comparison with Madden:

NCAA Football 10 - 2.18 million
NCAA Football 11 - 1.68 million

Madden 10 - 7.27 million
Madden 11 - 5.75 million

Note: Madden does include the Wii and PSP versions. NCAA 10 includes PSP version.

NCAA sales were down 22.9% and Madden down 20.9%.

And just for fun:

NCAA Basketball 10 - 0.55 million

College Hoops 2k8 - 0.45 million

So obviously there's no reason to think they would do away with ncaa when it sells over 1.5 million and will possibly sell more this year. You've got to think a LARGE percentage of buyers of NCAA are casual gamers who most don't even know what E3 is.
