Duplicate Numbers

I know this is probably pretty low on the list of things that needs fixed in NCAA, but in all the interviews, Q&As, etc, has anyone heard if they finally fixed it to allow you to set players with duplicate numbers on the same team? This irks me to no end as I end up having guys with incorrect numbers because we can't edit them to have the correct number as someone on the other side of the ball uses the same number (and this is only becoming more and more prevalent in actual college football).

I think its pretty high up for me on the list and shouldn't be that hard to impliment since the game already has some guys with duplicate numbers out the box AND we can do it through team builder so it already shows that no glitch will occur or anything. Not sure why we still can't do this. Hope it makes it in.

Agreed times 1000. Still don't see why EA cannot add this to game. Give me duplicate numbers over dreads.

They don't even really have to add anything, just remove the code that checks for used jersey numbers in the edit screen. I'm saying don't even bother trying to have more intricate and realistic checks, just remove the checks... the default rosters will be correct, the community rosters will be correct... what are those checks protecting us from? The casual fan is likely not even touching the roster editor, and the hardcore fan will know enough to watch the jersey numbers on his own.

Never really thought about this issue before. I would have thought that this would be extremely simple to add - maybe have a setting in the options about allowing duplicate numbers, and have its default as no.

Maybe there's something about how the "number check" is done in the code makes it hard to implement though.

this isn't a huge deal to me but I have to admit that it's annoying in RTG whenever you pick a team and your favorite number is taken
