If you get fired as a HC

Can you go back to being a coordinator?

I'm not sure, but I think you can leave jobs and go back to being a coordinator whenever you like, so I would say yes.

Re: If you get fired as a HC

I get bored of playing D quickly and sim most of it anyways so I am planning of staying as OC for a long while... Main reason I could see myself moving on to HC is because I am achieving my goals too easily and want to add the recruiting/other HC goals to my plate.

Re: If you get fired as a HC

Can you leave a job as HC and take a job as a OC/DC? For instance, I get sick of being HC at Florida and go be a OC at Duke or something that would be a "downgrade"?

I would think so. I don't know the detials but I would think you'd be able to say leave the HC position at Ball State (for example) in order to be the OC at a higher prestige school (say Pitt).

I would imagine you can. Or you can just have your coach quit his job and take another one, through retirement or something.

I actually meant the other way (from high level HC to low level OC). The worry I would have is that if your prestige is too high, you might not get "offers" from lower teir schools. For instance if you quite from ND while on good terms (i.e. not fired) you'll only get offers from top teir schools (FSU, USC, etc) and not lower ones (Ball State). I guess it depends if you only get a handle full of offers or if you are able to select any open position in the country.

I know this is sorta dumb, but sometimes it is fun to start at a low prestige school with a high prestige coach...you can turn things around pretty quick
