True but all those variations of the same name add up time and who knows how long they had Nessler to do some voice work. For all I know, he spent one afternoon at EA years ago and they've just rehashed it over and over.

I agree and wonder howcome they don't use first names as well. Maybe not as often but sometimes say the players full name.

Because you rarely hear players being called by their first names in a game mid-pplay.

Yeah, then it would make sense. Frankly, any sideline/pre game/post game type presentation would be great

It's an issue with pretty much all sports titles... commentaries are repetitive and rarely bring anything additional to the game.

Personally, I turn off all music & commentary and put on my own music or movie in the background.

I get so into my games I tune all that out and don't even hear it.
