4 Lineman is the way to go. Blitzing with your D-Line is a lot easier then blitzing with a Linebacker.

If you use it correctly. It's all about disguising and shifting(Not switching to each player and manually shifting but using the in game shifting calls etc..) to confuse the O.
Usually in the top of run D in the leagues I'm in.
Anyways I've had success with it.

I prefer the 3-3-5 in real life, but really it just depends on your roster.

Yep. Got to have the right players to fit your scheme.

So to succesfully run a 4-2-5 you need the right players and judging by the Boise State vs TCU video, to call the right plays/audibles. Skyboxer what scheme do you use?

Agree with this 100%. If you learn the scheme of the 4-2-5 recruit to fit a combination of your style and the 4-2-5 scheme it doesn't matter the style of offense you are facing. I am in multiple leagues I am usually in the top 10 of run D. Good luck. It's a great D if you learn it.

Since youve used the 4-2-5 before I have a quick question, would it be better just to take a team who utilizes the 4-2-5, such as TCU's playbook or go in and customize my own playbook to give multiple looks to my defense
