I was in a party with my friend while he was playing a ranked game, he said that rocket catching was back. Any truth to this?

I highly disagree. I can't rocket catch at all. I didn't check player stats to see if it was in but I haven't seen any yet. Makes me mad. I can't even strafe on offense to square up for a ball to catch it. I have to run a big loop to get turned around and then the defender picks it off. Frustrating af.
