Re: Quarter length

All depends on your style of play. I need at least 10 to get in a normal amount of plays in for non-no huddle teams.

Re: Quarter length

Depends on what you're doing. If you're an OC or DC and only play offense or defense then you could play longer quarters. But if you're playing both sides of the ball I usually play 8 minutes. 10 minutes seems like it'd take WAY too long.

I get only about 100-110 offensive plays at 8 and 9 minutes. 125-145 is the normal range. If I'm getting about 125-130 a game with teams that do not run no huddle, I think I'm good. If I'm getting 150-160 plays for two teams that run a lot of no huddle, I'm on the money. Still working on it. Testing 10 minute quarters in a bit. I'm not rush rush rush like some of you guys around here probably.

Re: Quarter length

10 min w/ very slow gameplay.

Averaging around 125 combined plays per game.

Yea, I got 139 in my last game but the passing was dismal. Had there been more than 50% completed passes, fewer plays would have gotten run. Everything seems to fall into place at 10 minutes if you play a nice pace and the rates are what they should be.

Re: Quarter length

I only play 5 min quarters as an offensive coordinator and I get realistic scores. Once I move up to a head coach then i'll probably up it to 6 or 7 minutes.

I play 10 as well. I have only played 1 game so far and got 136 plays in that game. Seems right for me.
