In NCAA the clock stops after a 1st down for the chain gang to catch up.

That's like giving a team an extra timeout evrytime. They need some real athletes carrying those chains, I'm talking guys who run a 4.3 40.

Re: Clock too slow?

May be my imagination, but I think game speed setting affects how fast the clock goes. On slow, 1 sec appeared to take longer than on normal speed.

Reminds me of NBA 2K11 when you up the game speed, the clock moves faster.

I don't know it's the speed setting cause i've played slow, very slow, and normal. I think it's the coaching aggressiveness cause to me it seems like when i play with different teams the clock moves differently. You're probably right but that's how I've seen it.

I'm playing on Normal, and the clock is that slow. Like I said, I timed it and 25 seconds in the game took 38 actual seconds.

Even after I called a time out, the play clock was still slow.

patsfan>> I just notced that it's not related to replays. It happens any time you're in the play select screen.

So if I have a conservative gameplan, the game assumes I want to run off more time.

If I have an aggressive game plan, the game assumes I'm trying to get in and out of the huddle as quickly as possible.

So wouldn't that mean that a balanced game plan would mean that the clock would work in real time, i.e. 1 second = 1 second?
Has nothing to do with how fast time moves, or how you guys interpret time moving. It has to do with how much time comes off the clock. Conservative, you will go to the line with 10 seconds on the play clock. On balanced, it runs it down to 30 then you pick the play. Aggressive has no time run off.

But I don't understand why a balanced gameplan would affect the clock at all. Doesn't it seem logical that a balanced plan would change anything.

...if balanced didn't run any time off, then what would be the point of aggressive? Just accept it and move on. It allows you to use a normal play clock. If you think it is more realistic to be ready to snap the ball with 35 seconds on the play clock, have at it. All that matters at the end of the day is if you are getting an accurate number of plays in the game if that's what you want.
