Hey everyone

Right to it- I'm Stanford and play against a friend who is always Oregon in this yr's game. He always runs the spread run and is obviously doing the same w/ Oregon.

On a side note, this is our 1st yr on 360. We played prior versions of NCAA on PS2.

I used to run a 4-2-5 against him this yr, but did not have much luck stopping his spread run- especially the big (30+ yard) run plays. I recently switched to a 3-4 D (again, I'm Stanford) which is what they run in real life. I've had slightly better success vs other players with this D, but still, overall, struggled to stop my friend's spread run offense.

Anyone know any good plays to call out of the 3-4 D to stop/greatly contain him? or any advice at all like how to position d-line/linebackers/corners/safeties etc?

Who do you control defensively?

Usually the d-line...a DT or LE/RE...to attempt to get a good push on the line.

Sometimes i control a LB/S though. Im not great controlling guys yet so I prefer to mainly leave that to CPU

id say switch to using the mlb, the safety works good but if u miss you are the last line. this allows you to read the hole and fill it, its also important to get more than 1 guy to the ball. dont worry about big hits set ur defense to wrap up and just make the tackle
