I'm definitely in the "don't buy an EA Sports game on day one" camp and firmly but to be fair: Madden's demo is in better shape than the full game of NCAA and from what I've gathered from some of the folks that have early copies for reviews and such, they've made it pretty clear to me that Madden is in WAY better shape than NCAA is even out of the box.

I wasn't going to buy Madden this year but after playing the demo a little more and reading online I've decided I'm going to get it. I'm in season 2 of my NCAA UGA dynasty but once I get Madden I think I will mostly sim the seasons for draft classes.

I always thought College had more things to do with recruting and all that but with the changes made to Maddens franchise mode I am looking forward to giving madden a shot this year for the first time wsa tsince I think 09 was the last madden I bought.

Are you guys going to convert madden?
No offense OP, but I think this is exactly what EA is hoping for. Same exact thing happened last year. Wasn't as noticeable as this year, but the time between release for the two is longer this year.

It's a shame we have to wait a year to tell them with our wallets, how we feel about it.

After reading some replies i too am in this camp. I was going to go to a midnight release but i dont want to be buying another bugfest.. I am enjoyin college but also love the nfl. I am interested mainly in seeing what theyve done for franchise mode.
