Re: how does atmosphere in ncaa football 12 compare to 11

It's impossible for it to be worse because nothing has been taken out. Is it much better than 11? No. Most is skipped over. Pre Game enterances got old fast and such. My gametracks don't even fire anymore, and most of the presentation bits are the same rehash and paste. It needs a lot of work, just like last year. If anything its slightly improved but mostly lateral.

As I posted in a different thread, the Home Field Advantage needs to make a comeback. I miss the decibel meter and the momentum feature. Road games do not feel like true road games. If I am a MAC school and I am playing at Oklahoma, I want it to feel that way. The toughest places to play list has no merit if playing vs one of those teams doesn't feel any different than playing anywhere else.

They focused on getting all the pregame rituals down pat, but the biggest part of the college football atmosphere is on the field during the game. If I return a kick for a TD to tie up a game at a crucial point, I want to feel like it was a true swing of momentum.

****Pros*****
-gametrackers are a nice addition, (the review thing after the 3rd QT K.O.)

****Cons*****
-Custom sounds don't fade out like last year
-I've walked thru empty graveyards that sounded louder than the crowds in '12...tieing the game with a kickoff TD late in the 4th sounds the same as me calling for a fair catch in the first quarter. Road games don't feel like road games, just no emotion whatsoever.
-Whatever happened to the chain gang?
-The commentary actually got worse! True it's been the same for the last SEVEN YEARS, but they took out Corso!!! That guy was the only one with personality.

Oh, they did add dreadlocks, but decided against pass interference. I forgot about pass interference till I watched real college fball this wkend.

Worse custom sounds mechanics, crowds, and no Corso makes me believe EA took a small step back in the atmosphere dept compared to '11 and a big step from the PS2 days

Am I the only one who only has maybe one in ten Gametrackers actually work? The Gametracker logo flashes, the announcer says something about it, and then nothing happens and the game starts back up again.

I'm definitely not hitting any buttons, either.
