Offline dynasty simming other teams

I want to sabotage another team in my offline dynasty. When you look at the scores/schedules of other teams and have the ability to play or sim them, does that game count towards their season record? Or is it a just for fun thing? Thanks.

It counts toward their record.

For instance, if i see troy is 1 game away from going to the NC game, and i know they're going to win that game, i can just play as them and do horrible on purpose so they will have a loss.

I didn't even think of that scenario. I'm just annoyed with getting crappy coaching offers, so i was thinking of making the team I want crappy the next season do they'll fire their OC, then I'll make them my alma mater to try to get the job. Then I'll make the HC old enough to retire, if he still has a job. I did this before, but I edited the offense to make it crappy, which made my whole scenario work, but was a major pain in the *** to do. Thanks.
