Will read & react be like when it comes to WR/DB interaction ?

This video was original posted by Ian prior to E3 of 2009. It suppose to have been in Madden 10 & NCAA 10, but much like the WR/DB jostling, never made it into the retail version.

So maybe the devs have perfected it and got it more stable. So for all the Community Day guys. Did NCAA 13 WR/DB interaction look like this with the new improved read and react defense ?

When Ian posted it he said it was determined by how good a WR's route rating was vs how bad a CB's man coverage rating was. It would be nice if they actually got it stable now.

But in theory, if read & react is tuned properly it SHOULD look this good. It would greatly improve the game and separate the elite from the average players.

i agree that it could look this good in regards to how the play actually pans out, for instance the DB getting burned like that. But, animation-wise im not so sure.

Bringing in shut down corners is my number one recruiting obsession, so if they tune it well, and the gameplay finally realistically reflects the ratings of the WR's and DB's, I'm going to be ecstatic.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Here's a part from the gameplay preview:

This is what I saw that made me think we could see some decent improvement in this regard.

Re: Will read & react be like when it comes to WR/DB interaction ?

i just hope that R&R is based on a rating.

i imagine on heisman a DB will automatically find the ball rendering this useless with rating boosts.

the warping is the real issue, when the DB see the ball he MUST take real footsteps to get to the ball or this is useless...

the skillz clip has never made it into the game no DB or any player move like that, they open their stance and flip their hips in milliseconds...

i am happy to have head tracking, but if the MOVEMENT isn't sound its going to be the same problem all over again, AND FROM WHAT I SAW I DIDNT SEE ANYTHING TO CONVINCE ME THEY FIXED THE SLIDING, ROLLING HIPS THAT PLAYERS HAVE STRAFING AT RIDICULOUS SPEEDS.

I know we (not me but I'll lump us OS'ers together) were hard on Ian but I loved that dude's thought process. He was on here faithfully reading our positive and negative comments.

Anyway, that would be awesome but they would need to work on LOCOMOTION. I'll keep repeating myself -- locomotion perfection is the key to this game.
