I don't think anyone would have to play as the teams and then record it. The devs have the power to input raw data. They could manually create a VIP type setup to improve coach/coordinator influences on their respective teams.
I would challenge them to take it a step further as there are tons more situational tendencies that are more important than run/pass and left/middle/right.
There are tendencies based on down and distance, field position, personnel groupings (run/pass or gap hit); just to name a few.
Great concept though. I would love for the teams to actually play to their style and to have access to this information. It would definitely feed into the coaching side of me. Plus, it would put more purpose into roster management and drafting. I'm going to care more about certain personnel decisions if I know certain opponents that I face more often will operate in specific ways.
