Star Ranking to Overall Rating Conversion

What's the scale used in Dynasty Mode when it comes to converting a prospect's star ranking to an overall rating? For example, if you sign a 3-star prospect in Dynasty Mode what would his overall rating equate to?

The reason I ask is I'm about to start a Dynasty and I want to edit my team's freshman and the other freshman in my conference to coincide with future recruiting classes in Dynasty mode.

I've seen it listed before but I can't recall what it was or where I saw it. It was something like 5-stars: 79-83, 4-stars: 71-78, etc.

Also, did someone simply come up with it arbitrarily or is there actually a formula for it?

Can't really determine it anymore the gem and bust system makes it difficult to determine. I've seen 2 star prospects get as high as 78

this year it's pretty arbitrary because of scouting

i've seen 3* range from 52-68 in the initial rating, but then i've seen a 3* make it to 80 with scouting

i haven't actually tested to see if ratings change because of scouting, or if scouting just reveals ratings
