Catch In Traffic rating

Does rating have any value? Anyone have an idea on what this rating is good for?

My assumtion is the ability to hold on to the ball after a big hit.

Re: Catch In Traffic rating

That's what I always pretty much assumed. Think of your receiver going across the middle of the field and catching the ball in traffic with a hit to follow. I could be wrong, but this is always what I thought of it as.

Re: Catch In Traffic rating

Dont have the game this year, but thats what it always was in the past. TBH I always find it more important than just the standard catching rating.

Players with low CIT are going to drop a lot of balls (depending on sliders of course) when hit while catching a ball, or when they are just generally near a defender.

Has anyone tested good Wr's and seeif they catch way more passes than bad Wr's...

I can't comment my self because Floridas Wr's are so poor at catching I don't think a single starter has above a 75 on any catch rating. I know they drop a lot of balls though
