Someone needs a history lesson. These guys were coaching before there was even a distinction between the divisions. The NCAA didn't separate the sharks from the minnows until '73. IT wasn't until '78 that what we now call the FCS, and FBS was created by, once again, splitting D-1 into "the have's and have-nots creating the D1-A and D-1AA. Also, back in the day when MOST of the BEST football players in the country were playing at HBCU's in the D1-AA, VERY FEW of the so-called major college football schools wanted to play them. I know it sounds strange, but it is an absolute truth. The best college football teams in the country were HBCU's up until about '75 or so. Eddie Robinson is THE all-time winningest coach in college football.

But tell me who you'd rather have behind the bench John Wooden who coached the UCLA men's team to 664 wins or Geno who coached the women's team to 804 against almost no competition.

I have no doubt Eddie was a great coach but you can't compare him and Bowden because they were at different levels.
Do some real research before you just make blanket statements. Frankly it's offensive. Rumor has it, a few of these So-called D1-AA HBCU's routinely beat the so-called D1-A teams on their own practice fields, in summer scrimmage sessions when Bowden, Paterno, and Robinson were coaching, before there was a distinction between the two divisions.

Okay, so when I re-read my post, this stood out. I should have said " 'some' of the best schools...

None of these changes will be in effect until the season after this upcoming one. I'm sure EA will lower them a little bit for '14, the roster team here might even make changes too.

USC's Championship Contender status was a D- last season. I used it against them extensively!
