3. Georgia Southern (I always hear their pretty good)
4. Appalachain State (It was only a couple years ago that they beat Michigan
5. Richmond (Their always being talked about even by ESPNU)
6. Grambling (Don't hear much but do take notice of the standings)
7. Bethune Cookman (Their ok plus Florida schools always play them)
8. Jacksonville State (They upseted Ole Miss a year or 2 ago)
9. South Alabama (Weren't they supposed to be in this years)
10. Montana (They had a great season last year produced NFL players)
11. Villanova (They should really be in the Big East or C-USA)
12. NDSU (14-1 that's insane)
I like this list except I would replace Georgia Southern with Georgia St, Southern is better but State is moving up next year and they play in the Georgia Dome

For the first 12 in, we can take the teams that have appeared the most in the top 12 since 2005:

Appalachian State
Montana
Southern Illinois
North Dakota State
Northern Iowa
Montana State
Georgia Southern
Villanova
Wofford
Richmond
James Madison

Obviously, that's only 11, so than you could choose one of these teams, whom have all been in the top 12 twice since 2005:

Stephen F. Austin
William and Mary
Delaware
McNeese State
Hampton
Furman
Cal Poly

You might consider Stephen F. Austin as a possible team.

FWIW, as someone who follows FCS more than FBS...the top FCS programs of the last decade or so are (yes I realize I may leave a team that won a title off, but one year doesn't prove anything. I left them off because outside of one or two years they haven't really been that good)

App State
Northern Iowa
Montana
Montana St
Delaware
JMU
Eastern Washington
Georgia Southern
Southern Illinois
William and Mary
Wofford/New Hampshire/Maine

A lot of people pick the best, but its not that common for established FCS teams to move up, it's usually newer programs, since 05 only 3 of the 10 teams that have moved up had football programs before 2000

Yeah from what i have been reading it is usually FCS schools that have added football teams recently are the ones that are jumping up, but for mine I am going to look at some of the top ones as well as some that fit where I want them.

Going to do mine somewhat realistically but keep them also geographically accurate (which means no Boise State and others to the Big East, that drives me crazy)...also going to do a bit of a relegation but not completely, basically some teams may get brought "up" to other conferences while others may be let go for not performing up to standards.

I am looking at the following:
West Region (WAS, eventually possibly MWC): (4-6 havent decided though)
Montana
Montana State
(some combo of Eastern Washington, Portland State, Sacramento State, Cal Poly, UC Davis)

Midwest Region (MAC):
North Dakota State
Northern Iowa

Northeast Region (BIG EAST): (some combo of the following...probably only 2)
Delaware
Villanova
Maine

Southwest Region: (CUSA, SUNBELT): (not sure if I am going to have 2 or 4 from here)
Appalachian State
Georgia Southern
ODU
Southern Alabama

Will probably be replacing mainly lower MAC teams as well as Sun Belt.

I will be putting these teams as IND for the first year and then do most of the real realignments for 2013.

After that I will do some realignment based on how I feel.

Will be posting what I finalize probably later in one of the custom conference threads
