What exactly do the individual player ratings mean?

I've seen a list of what impact each attribute has on each player, but I can't remember in what thread I saw it in the other day. Just curious because in my QB RTG, some of the attribute upgrades include an increase to "release" and I assume it impacts how quickly I get rid of the ball while passing, but I'm not sure.

Release is for wide receivers, tight ends. It determines how well they can beat a defensive back jam off the line of scrimmage.

A QB release rating is something I have wanted for years. I would take a guy with a quick release over a slightly more skilled player any day.
