Do you have to restart your dynasty for patch to work?

I apologize if this has been answered, but a search didn't turn up anything. I'm just wondering if I will need to restart my dynasty for the patch to take affect.

I would just assume its already apart of the game.

everyone i talk to seems to agree that its night and day when you start a new dynasty.. start one just to test it.. i bet you wiull notice a huge difference

The patch takes effect in existing dynasties. You may need to advance a week for it to take effect (seems to have played a role in my dynasties) but it will affect existing dynasties.
