"Classes" league system

Hello everyone. I have been tinkering with the idea of splitting the teams of the NCAA up in a way that would make the game more enjoyable to play and rewarding for all teams.

My idea, is class based, much like high school football, where the teams are divided based on enrollment and are ranked at the completion of the season in their own class, not so much as one whole entity. For example, If there was a "Class" system in place like this last year in the NCAA, Alabama would have won the 'AA' class, where NIU would have won the 'A' class. This is based on Alabama winning the NCG, and NIU Finishing highest in the Polls out of all of the smaller enrollment schools.

I would like to keep this OP short so people read it, but this is just a general overview of what I was planning, I would like your input as well. Its possible to go to 3 classes instead of 2, but I think 4 would be stretching the field a little thin. Also, as a side note, this is not a promotion/relegation league, this is where schools will stay in their divisions forever.
