Origin actually let's you pre-order and download the game. You just have to download a microscopic file on release day to play it.

you get a mesage from the PSN with the download attached I downloaded MLB'13 the show and that's what happened

In my case I didn't get that email until a day later. By then I already had the game downloaded from the PSN store.
