When you're already a starter, does doing the practice reps boost your player?

I only ask because I am 2 games into my high school career and I did not buy last years game so I wasn't sure if things changed.

Once you're a starter, you keep building Coach's Trust to become a Captain for the team and then there are three other levels to get to. Each one has different benefits, like being able to change the play or flip the play.

EDIT: Plus to gain more XP
