You still need the disc, but it will work even if badly scratched. Worst case, go to redbox, rent it for $3 install it, keep your broken copy. It will work.

Walmart does no questions exchanges and returns for most merchandise. You'll be fine.

GO to your local pawn shop. They can resurface the game for 5 dollars max and itll work fine. Happned to me with 2k 13.
