The main problem I'm having is the fact that he was slinging the ball all over the place into coverage and was rewarded for it instead of punished. I remember some edition of Madden had Fair Play Rules in the settings. They had switches for going for it on 4th down, going for 2, onside kicks, and I think one more. If you switched them, you could only do those things in real life situations, like if you're losing or 4th and short, etc.

Threads like this are useless. You didn't play good defense and he played better offense than you. Need to come to grips with that. That's football.

You also said "had the right play called". Well, if you didn't stop him, you had the "wrong" play called.

I think some of you are stuck calling defenses that worked a year or two ago but don't now. You have to adapt. There are ways to be successful on defense this year but they're not necessarily the same things that worked previously.
