So no, the primary runner is actually the QB and the FB and RB should be about equal. Where as in RTG the FB is getting about 4x as many carries.

This isn't just off one game either, like I said I played through my whole freshman year as well and the same stats hold true. I wasn't worried about only getting 25 carries for the whole season as the backup RB, but it doesn't look like I'll get much more as the starter.

The starting QB rushed 230 times in my freshman season while the starting RB rushed just 83. (And even a few of those were probably simulated when I was off the field so he probably wouldn't have even got the ball if I actually watched the play live.)
  1. You're wrong, the RB1 you listed is a FB
  2. Also the B-back(FB) is the main running back in Paul Johnson's Flexbone offense. He is actually been quoted saying this on multiple occasions(maybe you should do some research?)
  3. if you multiply the carries you listed in the original post by 12-14(full season) they all fall in to place.
the top guys with carries are:

LOL at this thread and the OP... GT's main ball carriers are FB.

If you wanted 10-15 carries a game, you don't go to a school that uses up to 14 ball carriers (Yes, they used 14 ball carriers in one game in 2012).
I pretty sure GT won't use 14 ball carriers in a season on this game.

So you're saying a true freshman at GT gets very few touches his freshman year?

Sounds about right.

What's the point of this thread again?

Stupid response.

First string RB is first string RB. The game doesn't go that in-depth...

The thing that being missed is what has already been stated several times. In that offense, the B-Back (FB) is optimally designed as the lead ball carrier.

Yup, unfortunately you can't play B-back. Kind of dumb since our last 2 are now in the NFL

Re: RTG as a RB at Georgia Tech is unplayable

The point of this thread is that offensively you are on the field 99.9% of the plays (~60 plays per game on my quarter length) in the triple option offense as the starting RB and you will often get less than 5 touches per game. It's not like real life where people get less touches because they're always switching guys in and out and using different ball carriers.

I'm just letting people know that it's pointless to play at this school unless lead blocking almost every play is your cup of tea. I'm not trying to argue mindlessly with white knights that will defend the game no matter what. Just trying to save people the time from making the same mistake I did thinking being in the triple option offense as a RB would be fun.
