Insta commit strategy?

This will be my first recruiting season with insta-commit available. I've got several recruits that I'm #1 on their board. Should I offer scholarships in week 1 to see if they commit or is there an advantage to waiting that will make the insta-commit more effective?

Also what can I expect in terms of signings with it?

It has the same chance if you are +50 or +3000, just use it when you have them 1st before you lose the chance

You should expect about 20% of recruits to insta commit, I would say that's about my usual percentage each season. (If you have insta commit maxed out, if not then its a lot lower).

I never did and haven't seen anyone ever say that they did

also the fact I get about 20% to insta commit and the coach skill says it gives +20% makes me think that without the skill theres no chance

When you recruit online it shows you the percent chance of getting a commit. without the perk it says 3% but that can't be right. Because much like you state I haven't nor has anyone else in my dynasties gotten any without the perk.

Ive had recruits commit without the perk and before their visit. I was going up against another user for the recruit & after he committed, the user was pissed. BTW, the recruit was a 82ovr ath.

It seems to be pretty hit or miss. One season I was the preseason leader for 2 guys and they both "insta-committed" (?) week 1. The very next season I was the preseason #1 for 10 recruits and none of them pulled the trigger.

I always offer week one, for all players. There's no reason not to anymore.

I get anywhere from 1 to 4 a season. If you wanna cheat you can keep reloading and wait for the best results, the CPU randomizes your chances each time.
