Alabama finishes 5th in the SEC, plays for national championship.

Seriously crazy series of events in my newest dynasty on NCAA 2014.

Playing as LSU with some new sliders and had my most fun season ever. I actually lost a couple games! I went 11-2, won the SEC title game over SC. They were ranked 4th, I was ranked 6th. Anyways, onto the craziness.

SEC conference standings after the SEC title game...

1) LSU 11-2, 7-2 in conference, 5-1 division
2) SC 11-2, 7-2 in conference, 5-1 division
3) Texas A&M 10-2, 6-2 in conference, 4-2 in division.
4) Georgia 10-2, 6-2 in conference, 5-1 in division.
5) Alabama 10-2, 6-2 in conference, 4-2 in division.

Lo and behold, national championship =
Ohio State 13-0 vs Alabama 10-2

Even a video game shows Alabama super bias!!!!

Who won when you played Bama and what was the score?

Bama 62-41. Highest scoring game of the season for me by far.

Only other game I lost was to Florida, 28-27.

Beat SC in the title game 42-38. Smash Notre Dame in my bowl game.

Alabama ended up losing the NC 35-28.

But... it was all for nothing. I redshirted Leonard Fournette and LSU's top freshman recruit QB (cant recall his name). At the end of the season, Fournette left pissed off about playing time and I couldn't get him to stay. ((

Got what you deserved in my opinion. Not sure I can envision a single scenario where it makes sense to redshirt a talent like Fournette. Even if I have depth at a position, I typically don't RS any of my 5* recruits or freshmen that come in rated 77 or higher. QB and OL are exceptions to that rule in certain circumstances.

HAHA this is the most interesting BCS ranking craziness I've heard of from NCAA 14. So did Alabama beat Texas A&M, and did the other teams lose games late in the season? That is the only way I can see it making any kind of sense.

I actually don't think this is that weird. It is strange to see the 5th place team in any conference in the national championship, but this is obviously a bit different because it seems like all five of those teams are very tight and you yourself said Alabama beat you.

As for why they made it above the other teams, it probably just comes down to WHEN they lost their games. It seems like 2, 3, 4 probably lost games late in the season, while Alabama probably lost theirs early in the season.

Kind of strange, sure, but definitely not the weirdest thing.

It looks like Alabama could have been considered the #3 team in the conference as #3-5 have the same overall and conference records.
