Game difficulty reset

I swear every time you boot up the game it changes the difficulty of play by itself. I'm not saying it changes from heisman to all American or messes with my sliders but I can play 3 dynasty games and win easily all 3, then boot up later at night and play 3 more games against same skilled opponents or even lesser than the 3 previous and struggle in all 3 of those games. I've had this happen time and time again over the years. I recently booted up played 3 teams with losing records near end of season and I won 1 game by a fg late after coming back , then lost to a 1-9 team I got embarrassed then had to struggle to beat a 2 and 9 week after , when earlier that day before shutting down the system I played the top 3 teams in my conference and cruzed by.

Anyone else have this happen or this feeling that each time you boot up the game sort of configures games differently somehow or am I just crazy?

I find this rather enjoyable. In college football, you never know what is gonna happen. Having that in the game adds that much to it imo.

i agree. it adds realism to the game. i can think of countless games where the overwhelming favorite barely slips by the underdog. i guess you could also think of it as a trap game maybe? in my Notre Dame dynasty, i came off a nice win against a ranked NC State team and i pretty much blew them out. the next week i played a miserable Hawaii team at home, who are playing without their starting quarterback. i barely won 17-10. thats the way it should be if you ask me...realism.

Re: Game difficulty reset

I don't mind it, just wondering if anyone else has noticed... I mean when I'm Wyoming team playing away at #9 99 over Ohio State and I go to 35 -0 before they even scored (I'm only the OC, but still) but then struggle greatly against a 1-3 Hawaii team and don't score a TD till late in the 3rd can be frustrating but that's what makes it fun

Ohio State struggling against lower level competition is the realest thing! Did you watch the Purdue game this year? Haha And I’m a buckeye fan as well.

All kidding aside, I do know what you mean. It can be very head scratching but enjoyable at the same time.

I also like the variety to a degree. But over the years (many versions of NCAA...not just '14) it sometimes appears out of wack. I am probably more bothered by the Alabama/Ohio States not being as tough as they should be. Then two weeks later Tulane is unstoppable playing like the Tide/Buckeyes should have. LOL.

Re: Game difficulty reset

In the Road to Heisman mode, you can set the difficulty of individual games. I think that happens in dynasty mode but the game does it automatically.

Re: Game difficulty reset

I think the game tries to even the playing field automatically. Like a 85 ovr mid-major @ Ohio St means you'll get the breaks, but playing a FCS team gives them the boosts so it ends up being closer than it should. It's backwards in my opinion.
