Xbox X Series Backwards compatibly

Who is excited to fire up NCAA 06-08 on the new Xbox? There was an announcement stating that the new Xbox will be backwards compatible with all old Xbox systems. Do you think they will allow NCAA to be played? Or do you think EA will prevent them from allowing it to be sold?

I’m interested, but not getting my hopes up. 06 plays on 360, but the slowdown is ridiculous. I bought an original Xbox to play those. We’ll see. EA hasn’t been willing to make any of the 360 era games backwards compatible yet.

It doesn't matter..every game for every xbox console will be compatible.

It’s every Xbox One game and which ever 360 and OG Xbox games are currently backwards compatible. Not all Xbox games from the beginning of the original Xbox.

As above, only the Xbox One and current backwards compatible 360 and OG titles will be available, not every title ever made.

It seems anything that is not playable on the current XBOX one will not be playable either on the Series X, so that means no NCAA Football 14.

Yeah, I don't see anything suggesting a change in the way BC will work, the same process that enables it for compatible titles should continue, and those that weren't able to be made backward compatible (typically due to copyrights and other issues which is the case w/ NCAA Football and many other games that require licensing) will continue to not be playable.

I'd love for it to be true, but this seems like wishful thinking.

The licensing aspect always makes me wonder how they pulled off Fight Night Champion. All those boxers are individually licensed, yet they were able to make it backwards compatible. Some boxers have even passed since the game was initially released.
