NCAA 14: PAC 12 Eight Game Schedule

On NCAA 14 Football if you are a PAC 12 team you play a 9 game conference schedule and 3 games out of conference. Is there a way to set up the PAC 12 schedule so that you play 8 Conference games and 4 nonconference games?

Turn on and set up protected rivals. You should end up with 8 conference games and 4 out-of-conference games.

I have done that and it still has a 9 game conference schedule with 3 non-conference games.

In Pre-Season, go to Custom Schedules and select Regenerate Schedule.
When the pop-up asks for "Use Known Games," select No, and then Regenerate Schedule.

I successfully did this on a PS3.

One way for sure is to reduce the number of teams in your conference to 9 total teams

Otherwise you only have 3 non-conference games

I just discovered that if you start your conference games on week 5 you only play 8 conference games.
