FUT is easily the best "mode" in sport games right now. I wasn't even a soccer fan but was hooked immediately. The improvement seen over the five year cycle to the franchise is incredible.

It seems really good. But when I tried it, I was overwhelmed by the complexity. It was really good but I just don't understand it.

Is this 5 year anniversary related to why I received 5 promo packs of untradeable players last night?

So there is over 11m players in this years version, yet the games play the exact same. Lob thru ball, lob thru, lob thru, lob thru, 442 ultra def. FUT 11 and FUT 12 was the peak, now its just a dumbed down cash cow.

Thanks to this, EA gave away five free RARE gold packs! Thanks to this I pulled Casilas, David Villa, Fabergas, and some others and my whole team and bench is made of gold players.
Sooo..... Thanks EA!

I'm usually not a fan of these "ultimate team" modes, but the FIFA Ultimate Team mode is by far the best on the market. I have some pretty good players that I've gotten in many, many, many packs (Falcao, Gotze, Rooney, in-form players, etc.) but opening a pack trying to get a Messi, Ronaldo, a legend, or an in-form player is awesome.

Personally I make a separate squad based on the league the players are in and try to see which one is the best. So far I have a BPL squad and a Bundesliga squad.

It's like a fantasy draft but you don't necessarily know who you're going to get it. I love it.
