14 - Player Career - Lack of goals
I always give career mode as a player a shot. I find it a good way to get into the comfort zone of the controls each season.
As usual, I get loaned out to a League One side. At first I tried on Professional difficulty, 6 minute halves. Nearly every match is 0-0. Upped time to 10, then even 15 minute halves. Upped speed to Fast. Nearly every match, 1-0, 1-1, or most often, 0-0. On World Class doesn't matter.
From what I can see, while all the AI players defend like superstars (due to the next defensive upgrades in this year's FIFA), they still have the offensive skills of League One players. So no one can score. Pretty much every AI player just dribbles into a crowd of defenders and loses the ball, regardless of position (including defenders, though thankfully the AI is so bad at completing passes and aiming shots it doesn't matter). %90 of the goals my side do manage are due to me being the playmaker, constantly calling for the ball, passing, calling for the ball, etc.
It's very frustrating because while I could continue to crank the difficulty, that would just mean the opposition would get better and I assume my AI teammates would stay morons.
I realize I could take control of the whole team but that kind of defeats the point.
Anyone else noticed, have a solution?
