I would say no. Its not actual DLC. It just a mode that you connect to their server for. Like FUT. So they can take it away at anytime. I mean its probably going to be up until the end of the year. But if that is why you are buying the game, I would say don't. I don't wouldn't count on it being around for long.

EDIT: It will stop working when ever 14 FUT stops working. Not sure exactly when they shut down the prior years game UT though. I assumed it was when the new game came out.

I appreciate the reply. The World cup DLC would be the deciding factor in me getting it rather than 15. I may look for the World Cup Brazil game cheap on 360 then.

more to keep you coming back, including internation comp.

I'm wondering how long the ultimate team servers would stay up. I like the 14 demo as much as i like the 15 demo, and it seems like it might be worth saving 35 bucks. But I do enjoy ultimate team mode, at least for a while.

Well, they shut down the FIFA 12 server earlier this year, and I'm betting 13 will go down Jan/Feb 2015. If they keep up that sched, you should be good until at least 2016.

Are you talking about the FUT stuff or to play in the World Cup as a player/manager? Because if it's manager mode then you can play in the World Cup every 4 years in 14
