Transfer Budget Increase

I'm getting Fifa in about a week, and I was thinking about taking over a BPL League 1 or even League 2 team, now first of all I wouldn't be able to go out and get the star players with that kind of budget, so would I be able to sign a good scout so I can at least have a good youth academy? Also, my main question is, assuming I do well, and advance all the way to the BPL will my budget significantly increase, and eventually be on par with the likes of the Chelsey's, and Man U's of the world? It would be nice if a mere $500k-$1m budget were to increase to say $75-$100m. And I highly doubt this is the case, but if that happens will the stadium automatically get upgraded?

Re: Transfer Budget Increase

Having just taken Hartlepool from League 2 to the EPL, I think I answer some of these questions.

1. Your transfer budget will increase year to year but not by much. At the start of CM, my budget was around 600K and that increased to ~1.5M in my first year in the EPL. Your budget will probably increase in the second year of being in the EPL as you don't receive EPL money until the end of the first year. But don't expect it to be 50-70M.

2. If you want to eventually be on par with a Chelsea or Man Utd, what I did was wait until I got to the EPL and then use my financial takeover. That gave me 50M to spend but it only lasts for one season.

3. The only way you will be able to climb up to the EPL is to buy a youth scout and try to flip youth players for big profits. That being said, you will probably have to settle for a 2* or 3* scout and be smart about who and where you scout. I was able to survive and develop youth players with a 2* scout, it just takes some time.

I hope that helps.

This is something I'm doing myself. Each year I do a career mode, usually with Man Utd. This year I wanted a challenge, so, I put up a poll on here and people voted that I manage Nott'm Forest. Believe me, just using a Championship team is a challenge enough! Plus I used the financial difficulty set at strict which, I regret doing now!

Anyways, so, go over to sofifa or check out Fifascoutingtips on youtube, that way you'll find the best, cheapest players.

I would say have a plan. I created a four year plan of gain promotion to the Premier League, not get relegated and finish mid-table, win the Premier League and finally win in Europe. All the while, building for the future, so I can leave the club rich and with lots of potential going forwards.

So yeah, look at good scouts, I wouldn't go anything below a 3 star judgement, 3 star experience scout. They can occasionally bring back good players.

Also after a few seasons, when you start to have some money, look at not buying players but sending your global transfer network scouts out to search for players on a 0-1 year contract. That means come January you'll be able to basically get free players and only have to pay for their wage. I just got Per Mertersacker from Arsenal on a free transfer.

You need to find that balance of developing youth and having experience within a team.

Try and win the capital one cup or basically, just exceed board expectations and they should reward you better.

Last but not least. BUY SMART! Don't go out and spend all of your financial takeover money on Messi. Sure, he's a great player, but, look to the future, think of getting the most for your money. You could buy 5 or 6 players for that amount of money. Players than will develop.

Personal recommendations would be Britt Assombalonga and Luciano Vietto to good strikers with a lot of potential!
