GTN, Scouting World

I was wondering how you get one of your scouts to scout the world and not just a specific country?

Can't be done, as in real life you can only be in 1 place at a time.....

scouts specify in a region, there is no such thing as a universal scout.

Okay. I could of sworn I saw something about setting one of your scouts up to not just scout a specific region.

If you buy "Scout a Future Star" or whatever it is called from the catalog, I'm pretty sure that player could come from anywhere in the world.

He's talking about the GTN not youth academy.

But there is a way you can scout players from any country. That is just leave the country blank, and you can scout any player using that scout. But I don't think if you give instructions that the scout will bring players back. But sometimes I leave one scout blank in case I want to scout the player that comes up in the news as one for the future players.

Yeah you can do this, but no he won't discover anyone he will only be able to scout assigned players and it seems to me that the time frame is greater to get the final report and there's a set number of players he can scout. I've done this and eventually it will say all scouts are busy.

I always start with a very low level team. Thus, the Free Agent market is helpful to me. Also, you can see who is available on Loan and scout those guys to find young diamonds in the rough. For that reason, I usually keep one mediocre scout free to do this kind of scouting. The advantage is the guy can scout a dozen players all over the world in 18 days or so. Pretty amazing.
